200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Private or group

The experience

You'll spend four weeks living and training on the banks of the Ganga, moving from daily asana and pranayama practice into anatomy, yogic philosophy and hands-on teaching methodology — the same 200-hour arc that has certified teachers in Rishikesh for decades. By the final week you'll be leading practice sessions yourself, with Devika and her fellow teachers observing and correcting.

Why this matters

A real teacher-training changes how someone practices and teaches for the rest of their life — this course keeps that training in the hands of an actual Rishikesh-based lineage teacher, rather than a franchised studio program.

Cultural background

The 200-hour teacher-training format took shape in Rishikesh's ashrams through the 20th century as Indian teachers began formalizing what they'd learned from their own gurus into a structure visiting students could complete and take home.

Yes, many students take it purely to deepen their own practice.
