Vivid, detailed paintings of animals, trees and myths made by Gond artists.
Understand
Gond painting grew from the wall and floor art of the Gond community and became widely known through artists from Patangarh village in Dindori district.
Artists outline forms, then fill them with fine lines, dots and dashes in bright colours — a patterning style that gives each painting its sense of movement.
