The Dubla Nritya is the folk-dance of the Dubla community of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, performed at the central village festival and the social gatherings. The Dubla are one of the principal Scheduled Tribe communities of DNH and have their own cultural and the social traditions. The dance is one of the documented regional traditions of DNH and is regularly performed at the cultural programmes of the union territory and at the regional community festivals.
The Dubla Nritya is performed by men and women of the Dubla community in a circle at the central courtyard of the village or at the open ground of the festival. The men and women perform in coordinated steps to the song of the Dubla cycle and to the rhythm of the small regional instruments. The dance is gentle, with the small stepping rhythm of the Dubla tradition. Costume is the everyday Dubla dress — the dhoti and the regional shawl. Performances are at the central courtyard and at the cultural programmes of the union territory.
