Likimro is the harvest-celebration dance of the Konyak Nagas (one of the major Naga tribes of the Mon district of Nagaland), performed at the Aoling festival (the Konyak new-year) in April. The dance is associated with the Konyak warrior-ancestry and with the celebration of the new harvest. The form is one of the most distinctive regional traditions of the Konyak community and is regularly performed at the cultural programmes of Nagaland.
Likimro is performed by men of the Konyak community in a circle at the central courtyard of the village or at the Aoling festival ground. The men perform in coordinated steps to the song of the Likimro cycle and to the rhythm of the log-drum and the bamboo mouth-organ. The dance is energetic, with the men's lunges and the small steps of the Konyak tradition. Costume is the Konyak warrior-dress — the lungi, the headdress with the hornbill-feather and the colourful Konyak shawl. Performances are at the Aoling festival and at the cultural programmes of the state.
